About Us

Manang Trust Saving & Credit Co-op Ltd., was established on Shrawan 15th, 2066 (July 30, 2009) and started operation on Baishak 1st, 2067 (April 14th, 2010). It was founded on the belief that all people have the right to affordable, reliable and accessible financial services. Manang Trust is a community member based credit union that believes in improving people's lives, by creating opportunities that last. To achieve this, we, work in partnership with our community members and provide them with financial solutions that meet their needs through our various financial products and services.

The idea and concept of Manang Trust Saving & Credit Co-op Ltd., was inspired by Mr. Pema Tshering Gurung; his work and commitment towards his people and his community. He personified "Trust, Integrity, Reliability & Community Service". These are the principles on which Manang Trust Saving & Credit Co-op Ltd. is built.

Following in his footsteps, his eldest son Mr. Prem Singh Gurung and grandson Mr. Prem Prabhat Gurung initiated Manang Trust Savings & Credit Co-op. Ltd., to provide the much lacking financial services for his community.

People lack the basic financial services and knowledge that so many of us take for granted. Manang Trust is a unique solution, and we take a different approach from other financial institution. We, make sure members get access to the financial building blocks needed to support families and create better and stronger communities and neighborhood by creating sustainable businesses and job opportunities thereby strengthening the local economy.
